I CAN BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Anyone with a name like Syeda Noor e Jannat (literally meaning light of the world) should have a bright happy life especially if it is a 7 year old little girl. However Syeda’s life had none of the light her name had, being diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma.
Little Syeda from Dhaka, Bangladesh turned into a nervous shy young girl who wouldn’t interact with anyone. The only thing which brought her some joy was the stories her mother read to her.
Three years later, today, she is recovering and is true to her name, a bright creative child back in school, participating in drawing, dancing and studies with enthusiasm.
Her father, a humble school teacher, is thrilled to have the "light of his world" back with him.
